Reconsidering the systemic bias generated by our current models, opens the field to inclusivity and sense of care. Conflictual developments due to unsustainable behaviors question the connection with social forms. Elaborating on its appropriation by urban citizens, this unavoidable reconfiguration creates new socio-cultural environments with ongoing destruction-reconstruction processes as a sign of adaptation. Defying the perverse consequences of unregulated liberal principles and inventing more inclusive and sustainable models is never an easy task. It calls for non-linear thinking encouraging innovative approaches, sometimes fragile but promising. Those arguing for bouncing back to “Business-as-usual” are tempted to consider such disruptions as failures. But in reality, they are the seeds of a better future.
